OUR HERO!!!!!!!!!!!
WRIGHTSVILLE
BEACH, N.C. (AP) -- Reality provided a little more excitement than his usual TV fiction
for "Dawson's Creek" actor Joshua Jackson.
The actor, who plays Pacey Witter on the series on the WB network, and a friend saw two
young women who had gotten into distress while swimming along the shore near Wrightsville
Beach on Tuesday.
Jackson, 21, and his unidentified friend dove into the ocean and swam out to help the
young women, who were floating near the rock jetty that separates Masonboro Inlet from the
Atlantic Ocean, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Jody Howey.
But when they reached the pair, waves swept them all over the jetty and into the inlet,
and then the current of the falling tide prevented them from getting back to shore, Howey
said.
A Coast Guard boat rescued all four about 7 p.m. and no one was injured, Howey said.
Jackson "kept them safe and floating until the Coast Guard got there. He just helped
out somebody who needed it," said David Hartley, producer of the show filmed in
nearby Wilmington.
The young women, who were not identified, were not involved with the television
show.

Joshua QUOTES
"I love breakfast in bed, but that means I have to change my sheets every time: I really can't sleep when there are crums in my bed."
"I understand why Pacey falls in love with his teacher, but that has never happened to me in real life: the teachers in our school were all very ugly and very boring"
Poem from the Dawson's Creek episode "Full moon rising"
I know this has nothing to do with Josh, but I loved the poem so much, I had to put it in here. Hope you like it too.
"By moonlight many
years ago,
My true love did I know.
And by that moon I
begged her wait
but that night did she go.
So young lovers, heed my
words,
Don't squander love away
The moon is changing
ever still,
soon comes the light of day."
